How One Meeting Changed Everything

During our weekly meetings - where we review tasks, reflect on successes, and identify areas for improvement - amid discussions about business growth, to-do lists, and updating the Teams planner, the idea of the Magic Meeting emerged. We envisioned a dedicated space, once a month, to step away from the daily demands, reconnect, and allow something deeper to unfold. Magic: being open for miracles to occur.
Much like coaching, where insights and growth unfold in the spaces between sessions, the Magic had already begun working in the background before our first meeting even took place. The idea had been planted, the intention set, and, in its own way, our antennae had started tuning in. Shaping the vision had already begun.
Our First Monthly Magic Meeting
We opened with a grounding three minute meditation, creating space for insight, for possibility, for intention setting.
We entered with an agenda and a suggested outcome - encouraging a free flow of ideas, grounded in reality, with tangible actions to follow. But as we began, something unexpected unfolded.
A simple but powerful question was asked: "What is Magic to you?"
Defining Magic
Magic means being open for miracles to occur. It’s about how open we are to the small miracles, those moments of deep learning, those unexpected insights. In coaching, I see magic happening every session with my clients - the ‘aha’ moments, no matter how big or small. That’s a miracle for something bigger to unfold. CEO & Founder
I reflected, "Magic is seamlessness, integration, going with the grain. It’s about intention, doing the right things, moving with flow."
One senior leader spoke of witnessing magic through her one year old daughter, watching a child discovering something new every ten minutes of life. "It’s an extremely magical experience," she said.
Organically, the conversation led us to the question “how can we best grow our client base?”
Creating a Pull, Not a Push
Then came a realization: "It’s just nice to be invited."
In business, we often push - seeking opportunities, making things happen, trying to get a seat at the table. But what if the real magic is in creating a pull - being invited in, rather than pushing our way through?
For Kokua Hub in 2025, magic looks like:
Helping with improving business results.
Shifting from struggle to ease.
Transitioning from pain to joy.
Moving from a "push" mindset to an energy of attraction.
In our teens, we might have gate-crashed a party, with mixed results, but now, it’s just nice to be invited. For me personally, it requires a mind-set change. For Kokua Hub, to be invited into organizations to help with strategic advice - what a privilege that would be. That’s what we’re working toward. CEO & Founder
The Power of the Pause
Why are you rushing through the very moment you've always dreamed of? Client Success Manager
That question hit home. Our Client Support and Success Manager, reflected on how we often rush through life - ticking off tasks, moving on to the next thing - without fully experiencing the moment.
"Now, I ask myself: Do I have to rush? If the answer is no, then I won’t. Professionally and personally, I’m learning to trust what is being built before the results are obvious. We’re in that phase now, the magic is in appreciating the small things."
Magic is the unseen force between effort and results. It’s not instant - it’s in the deep work, the micro-wins, the quiet transformations. It’s in the in-between.
"We often go straight from change to change to change, without stopping to reflect on what we’ve actually created," our CEO added. "But the magic happens in the moment of the pause. Stop. Pause. Reflect. Then choose your next action - or not."
In our constant rushing, we miss the Power of the Pause. Pausing can be a conscious or unconscious process with behavioural consequences. We can choose, for example, to become more observing, less judgemental, or to slow down to become more present – that’s when we allow the magic to unfold.
Connection: The Core of Kokua Hub
At its heart, Kokua Hub was created during the pandemic, to bring back the lost moments of connection.
In a physical office, connection happens organically - water cooler chats, hallway conversations, impromptu moments of reflection. In a hybrid world, those moments can disappear. That’s where coaching becomes so powerful - it creates a structured pause for people to reconnect, reflect, and realign.
One client put it perfectly:
"I just wish we had more time to reflect and stand still."
That is what Kokua Hub is here to create:
A pause
A space to think
A reset
A step toward meaningful results
An easier path to move forward with
"People struggle enough out there already. We don’t need to add to it."
The Venn Diagram of Connection
We saw it clearly: a venn diagram with three circles: Pause – Reflect – Re-align at the micro level; coaches, clients, and the Kokua Hub team at the macro level.
In the centre: Connection. Connection is where the Magic occurs.
I don’t want to separate us from our coaches and clients. The people who sign up for Kokua Hub share the same values that we do. We are not just a business we are a community, connected by a shared purpose. Coach Support & Success Manager

The Transformation
We left the Magic Meeting as different people. In one hour, something had shifted.
We had shared our blocks, fears, stretch goals, personal and professional aspirations - and somehow, by the end, it felt as if we had already achieved them.
The Magic Meeting had become something even greater. We renamed it:
The Miracle Magic Meeting (MMM)™.
So now we ask you:
How do you experience magic?
Where is magic showing up in your life?
How can you make room for a conscious Pause - Reflect – Re-align in your day?
What are the small miracles that show up for you as well as within your organization?
Ready to experience the magic?
